2026 Proposed Utility Allowances

2026 Proposed Utility Allowances Now Available for Review

Lakeland Housing Authority has released the 2026 proposed monthly utility allowances for Public Housing and the updated HUD Utility Allowance Schedule for tenant-furnished utilities and appliances.

These proposed allowances help determine the estimated monthly cost of utilities such as electricity, water, sewer, trash collection, heating, cooking, air conditioning, water heating, range/microwave, and refrigerator usage.

The Public Housing proposed allowances include updated monthly amounts for selected Lakeland Housing Authority properties, including John Wright, Cecil Gober, and the Micro Cottage at Williamstown. The proposed amounts are based on utility type, building type, bedroom size, and applicable energy-efficient equipment.

The HUD Utility Allowance Schedule also provides updated allowance amounts for multi-family units and single-family units ranging from 0 to 5 bedrooms.

Residents, applicants, and participants are encouraged to review the proposed 2026 utility allowance information and contact Lakeland Housing Authority with any questions.
